Profile

Spree is an NDT service company employing about 20 people full-time, but with a fluctuating work force of temporarily employed technicians. It provides a call-out service in the London and south east areas of the UK, but is also involved in larger NDT projects, such as weld radiography during the laying of pipelines in other parts of world.

Participation

The role of Spree in the project will be as a testing organisation, testing both the ultrasonic modelling results and the prototype. Spree is subcontracting the application development and structural integrity work to TWI and UNUT. It will be able to use the structural data to market the service using the developed instrument. Spree is also partaking in the field trials.
